A husband isn't given the right to murder a wife, abuse a wife, or anything else, just by virtue of marrying her.

No one said it did. This is silly hyperbole. He does have the right to speak for her when she is unable to do so herself.

It has been said that Terri was going to leave him.

Conjecture and rumor. She didn't leave him, or even begin legal proceedings to do so. If that were the case, I WOULD AGREE WITH YOU. She didn't. End of argument.
