He swore in Court that the basis for his contention that he is a "Nobel Prize nominee" is that Congressman Mike Bilirakis - who is neither a doctor nor a scientist - sent a letter to the Nobel committee recommending him for an award.

He didn't "fake" his nomination - he never got a real nomination. He just claims he is a "nominee" based upon this letter being sent.

Prize-awarding institutions invite more than 6,000 individuals to propose, or nominate, candidates for the Nobel Prize.

How do you know the congressman was not invited by a Universtiy to Nominate someone?
