The Bryan Suits show can be listened to live via streaming audio. He was a reservist who was in Desert Storm and got called back to duty in Iraq. He's back on the air starting tonight at 6:00 pm PDT.
From his KVI biography:
"As you may know, Bryan is a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army. That makes him pefectly "suited" to discuss a wide range of military issues on KVI. It also means that, from time to time, he may be called away to fulfill certain military obligations.
Bryan is now in Iraq. Fortunately, Bryan is able to join us, via satellite from Baghdad once or twice a week on the Rusty Humphries Show. Be listening weekdays for Bryan's expert insight. It isn't clear exactly when his tour of duty will end. Whenever it does end, Bryan WILL be returning to his evening slot on KVI.
Thanks, Bryan, for serving our country. We look forward to your return and we look forward to hearing from you while you're away."

I rec'd the below as an email today from a person living on the west side of the state of Washington, who appears to be forwarding on another message. Don't know if the original story is true or not about another patriotic person, none other than the actor Denzel Washington.
This is very interesting. At Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC), there's Fisher House and a lot of the troops from Iraq are being treated at MAMC.

Subject: Denzel Washington
Denzel Washington was visiting BAMC (Brook Army Medical Center, in San Antonio,Texas) the other day.
This is where soldiers that have been evac'd from Germany come to be hospitalized in the States, especially burn victims.
They have buildings there called Fisher Houses. The Fisher House is a hotel that soldiers' families can stay at, for little or no charge, while their soldier is staying in the hospital. BAMC has quite a few of these houses on base, but as you can imagine, they are almost filled to the brim
>most of the time. While Denzel Washington was visiting BAMC, they gave him a tour of one of the Fisher Houses. He asked how much one of them would cost to build. He got his check book out and wrote a check out for the full amount right there on the spot. The soldiers overseas were amazed to hear this story and want to get the word out to the American public, because it warmed their hearts to hear it. I hope you will spread this story.
He has a son in the Marines, in Iraq.
I hope this is true. Where can we get verification?
Dunno but I emailed that dobol21@hotmail.com who circulated the message and requested verification. When I hear back, I'll post the reply.
thanks.
partially true, then that ain't half bad. Thanks
Bryan Suits has the best radio show on the air, bar none. Why is he not national?
Steve
Maybe he'll get there someday. The 6:00 to 9:00 pm slot on the west coast is ripe for the pickings.
