I actually have a lot to say in response but I'm getting tired and need to go.

I understand Michael and his pain - I've been there with my own wife. I know what it's like to come to the realization the woman I love will never recover and come back to me.

I know for a fact it affects you mentally. You behave as if another person was playing your part. In my case I started frequenting bars and picked up women. After a dozen flings and one-night stands I met a wonderful woman and my life became better again. Stability resumed.

Good for Michael for also finding someone with whom he can be made whole once more.

Mr. Schiavo can move on with his life if he so desires, without ending Terri's life. If indeed, he has 'moved on', then why the insistence she die, and not transfer guardianship to her parents?

I can understand your DNR decision in regards to your late wife. She was afflicted with a terminal cancer with no hope of survival, let alone recovery. Mrs. Schiavo suffers from no such terminal affliction. She is not going to get any worse from her injuries suffered from the original incident. Some doctors have maintained that she can show some definitive improvement with proper therapies. All she requires is the sustenance that we all require for sustained life.
