what would you want?

I sure wouldn't want to be starved to death, that's for sure. Would you want to be starved to death? Is that desire codified in a proviso of your living will? The notion that Terri Schiavo "expressed her desire" to be starved to death is absurd on its face, along with the belated, self-contradictory assertions of M.S. and a state judge who directly ordered that she be starved to death.

Since when does a state judge have the authority to order that a citizen of the United States be starved to death?

Cordially,

Last I heard, we don't conduct referenda to determine who should live and who should die. They used to have these displays in the Roman amphitheaters where the crowds used to show which way their thumbs went in deciding whether someone should be fed to the lions. I'd like to think we're more civilized than the bloodthirsty pagans of ancient Rome.
