"I recommended we all begin calling the president asking him to intervene with an executive order and it appears no one is listening.....
If Terri gets to the point of no return....will we then wish we HAD contacted the president?
Some think it's no use because the president can't do this, but he CAN. Presidents since Washington have all written executive orders for a variety of things. He could write an executive order to get her in a hospital. That action would not prevent the judge from mulling this over for another week!
But he's not likely to - unless the people begin calling and emailing him about it. It would be a bold move, but well within his Constitutional powers. He would be providing much-needed balance to a run-amuck judiciary.

It sounds like a good idea. We have to try EVERYTHING.
As a matter of fact, though I didn't do what you just suggested, last week I called President Bush's comment line 202-456-1414, and said that if Clinton's Janet Reno could get Elion for a bad reason, why can't the president rescue Terri for a good reason.
Many of us have done all of this and have been making calls etc...
That may be the case, but is there any reason to believe flooding his staffers with calls to do so will convince him of that? Or would efforts be better spent faxing the Florida Assembly to impeach Greer and the Florida Senate to pass legislation to protect people?
I figured one more phone call but the comment line at that number closed until tomorrow.
AAAARGHHHHHH, I'm wondering if the judge is planning on waiting until Terri's dead before he rules? It's 110 pm. It's been 3 going on 4 days now. It's not fair that the judge doesn't let her have at least an IV while he's "deciding". This seems very suspicious to me. Not to mention hideous, and cruel. I can't believe this is the country I live in.
