There is a prayer to the Lord to grant us "the Christian ending to our life, painless, blameless and peaceful". We should not cling to life at any price, or worse preventing others from going away.

Spoken by a person presumably in good health and not facing a torturous murder

Yes, Gibbs was talking to Hannity. He sounded *good*.
I am riding the worst rollercoaster in my life, I think.

Felos Barf Alert!

I'd call him a "girly-man," but I don't want to insult all the "girly-men" out there. :o)

It is a horror to be kept artificially alive for so many years without ability to move or communicate.

Being fed is being kept artificially alive? Who'd a thunk it?

Oh. And she moves. And sits in a chair too. Check facts. They're important.

I thought the judge would rule for the tube to be restored until he could review the case....I guess I was wrong....

Me too! There just doesn't seem to be an end to this. We are in a battle for our souls and our lives.

If you were paralised and not able to speak - would you like to be fed by tube and artificially kept alive for more than 15 years? This IS a torture!

We should not cling to life at any price, or worse preventing others from going away.

However, when the decision to pull the plug is in dispute, we should always err on the side that wishes to sustain life.

I might. Haven't been there. Life tends to be precious whereever you are in your life...until the body says now is the time to die, and often even then.

Felos describing the reinserting of the feeding tube.
(like it's worse than a c-section he's carrying on)
Mrs. Schiavo does not want to have surgery.

This disgusting liar! If she is such a vegetable, I could cut of both her legs with no anesthesia and she would not know and feel nothing. WHICH IS IT?! BRAIN-DEAD OR DOES KNOW/FEEL?

I guess I was wrong....

Let's just say you were "sincerely wrong." Were this clintoid going to rule for Terri, he would have immediately ordered the re-insertion of the tube. Had Terri been a member of a protected minority group, she would never have reached this situation. There is no justice in the legal system, and I would imagine that injustice is not confined to FL, but it seems more brutal there.

We need to purge that line "establish justice" from the Preamble to the Constitution: it's false advertising for a corrupt nation.

The federal judge is treating this as a temporary injuction case.

That requires a SUBSTANTIAL likelihood of success. Basically the judge has to find no chance of success (which is what felos was gloating to the media.)

In theory he could deny the temp injuction and then schedule a full hearing in a month or so.

Hard to have much respect for judges in general these days.

Being killed rather than paralyzed is your OWN preference. Don't project your own preferences on someone else. I, for one, would rather remain alive and paralyzed than starved to death. Not everyone agrees with you.

Sure, maybe after he eats dinner.

Oh, my, what if he chokes on his steak? What if he can't breath? What if his wife sits on her rear and not call 911? What if after his ever loving wife shacks up with the pool boy and sires a couple kids and wins a multi-million dollar suit, she decides to pull his feeding tube?

I find great comfort in being on FR when I can, it is so comforting to know there are others praying and believing that there is still some good in this world.
Enjoy your time outside, its been a beautiful day! Kept wishing Terri could be out in it, feeling the wind..
