"There is an epochal sense to this that is inescapable"
Why do you say that ..?? Do you sense something you'd be willing to share ..??
Here's the Site for US DIstrict Court For the Middle District of Florida:

If you click "notable cases" you find Schiavo v. Greer, but don't get too excited. It's the case from a couple days ago in which the court denied to grant an order to feed Terri, because it had no jurisdiction for a Habeas review.
The new law grants the federal court jurisdiction to conduct a habeas-type review. Maybe that case will be up in a few hours.
The nerve-wracking thing is which judge Terri gets; it's the luck of the draw as to who is on call when Terri's lawyers request an order.
Now we have a president who is a man of faith leading from the presidency, and we have just witnessed congressional leaders of both houses (Frist, Delay, Hastert, Sensenbrenner, et al) drawing a line in the sand--for life.
We have drawn blood on one of the invincible triad of media anchors, while the effectiveness of such "alternate media" as Jim Robinson's Free Republic (of which vast conspiracy you are an arch operative) increases, and the talk radio leaders (Rush, Sean, and others) continue to grow in influence.
The overall tenor of the "silent majority" was expressed in the presidential election of 2004 in which a liberal traitor gigolo girly-man was decisively defeated--despite massive "mainstream media" flacking and widespread voter fraud.
The importance of faith and the reverence for life among the people increases, together with its "turning away" from the towers of Babel on both coasts.
It isn't yet morning in America, but the eastern horizon is lightening.
It's always Game Day: Good v. Evil, but it's no longer a game with only corrupt referees and snipers in the stands.
Mel said to "hammer Him with prayers"--
Peter, Paul and Mary were wrong to use the subjunctive case; we've always had the hammer.
