Maybe they will wise up and just MoveOn.org
The real irony of moveon.org is that they can't seem to move on from anything.
Exactly! Kinda like a dog chasing its tail, a lot of activity but not getting anywhere.
The key difference to the left between Iraq II and WWII is that in WWII we eventually ended up on the same side as their favorite country the USSR. That made FDR immune from such protests. I say eventually ended up because in the Lend-Lease days it was the UK with support from the US holding out against Germany with support from the USSR.
They seem to have a lot of movement in their bowels. Unfortunately, it all comes out of their mouths.
The reason why they don't protest WWII is because one of their own ilk started it, and it took a Republican to end it.

"President Gore" would also have gotten around to a major reform of Social Security in the U.S. and that too would have received a full court press by the Democrat leadership in congress, to promote such a "wise and visionary" agenda!
Their objections have to do with Bush - not the outcome of his bold international and domestic moves. If it had been Gore doing the same things, they would be on the other side of the fence.
You would be stunned with how many professors on college campus today border on nazi sympathising with condemnations on the US regarding WW 2.
I had a professor years ago who thought that Truman should be considered a war criminal for dropping the atomic bombs on Japan.
On the O'Reilly factor running up to the afghan war, a student activist argued that ww 2 could not be morally justified for any cause.
Several left wing groups also today morally condemn the US at that time as being no better then the Nazi's of that era, and Noam Chomsky has argued the same thing himself.
On some liberal websites, I've lurked and seen some argue that was the nazi's did to the jews was there own business, and the US (being the imperialists we are) had no right to war with germany which did not attack us.
The writer of this article is sadly assuming more common sense from the left then they actually have.
Radio talk show host, Barry Farber, can tell you about the protests by liberals against World War II, especially in New York City, where they held forth in Greenwich Village.
Just a bit of lightness here; My dad detested "King Franklin the First" but he was almost saintly compared to the scum on the left of our time. No criticism intended. Regards, Avery
So you're saying that Truman was a Republican?
Agreed, although there's not a chance Al Gore would have responded in the same way.
By today's standards, he'd be a ultra-mega-right-wing ideologue.
Agreed. This is exactly my sentiment ... you beat me to it. How much carp and "diplomacy" and UN machinations would have ensued??

Democrats don't need to go through the UN (or Congress) when they want to wage war. Remember Serbia?
