Actually, the law does not call for the reinsertion of Terri's feeding tube - it calls for a Federal judicial review of her case to see if any violation of her due process rights have been violated, and the law assumes the judge will reinsert the tube as she has to be alive for the case to be reviewed. It also will be in the same court in Florida, but will be handled by a Federal judge in that court. At least that is how I am understanding this law, but I could be mistaken.

Has anyone seen the text of the bill? Some stories today said the compromise was to make sure it only applied to Terri and no one else (how do you spell "Bill of Attainder"?). It would be nice to know how they kept from invalidating my durable power of attorney which is designed, like millions of others, to keep me from being force fed and diapered for years as poor Terri has been -- and apparently will be for years to come. How tragic for her.
