Because from the court papers available, I have read that pretty much is the case. I have also been around this type of situation and have seen people in her condition, namely very close family members. But then again what do I know. :-)

Your decision was your decision, but it doesn't entitle you to make those decisions for someone else. Terri is an adult, she had plenty of time to make a living will, they have been common for a very long time. She never did. If her husband had remained at her side through all of this, people might not suspect his motives, if he had allowed her to have every chance that modern medicine allows, they might not suspect his motives. But that's not the case here.

Terri is not deteriorating. She is not in pain, her parents have offered to take full custody of her. Her husband has basically abandoned his marriage and with it his right to have a say in her life or death.

Starvation and dehydration is not a painless way to die for someone who is mentally alert, and Terri has proven herself to be mentally alert. If you want her dead so bad, then fill up a syringe and take her out yourself.
