Mother pleads for Terri Schiavo's life

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. - Hanging their hopes on a last-minute compromise in Congress, Terri Schiavo's parents notified her hospice to prepare to have her feeding tube reinserted on Sunday, her third day without food or water.
Congressional leaders from both parties hoped an agreement reached on a bill would allow the tube to be restored while federal courts review her case. The House and Senate were expected to take up the legislation by Sunday or early Monday. If passed, President Bush planned to sign it.

But Mary Schindler pleaded for parents nationwide to call their congressional representatives and pressure them to vote for a bill to prolong her daughter's life.
"There are some congressmen that are trying to stop this bill," she said outside her daughter's hospice. "Please don't use my daughter's suffering for your own personal agenda."

Rep. Robert Wexler, D-Fla., issued a statement late Saturday saying he will make an objection that would stop the vote Sunday. Any member can demand that a majority of members be present to do business. Rep. Earl Blumenauer, D-Ore., said he was trying to gather enough votes to defeat the bill Monday

What you are describing to me my friend, is the end of "tolerance" for our cultural obsession with the killing of the innocent and the voiceless among us who are deemed to be either "useless", (like Terri Schiavo), or "unwanted", (like preborn babies). People all accross America are standing up and saying "ENOUGH"!
The political battle lines are being drawn by the torture and attempted murder of the helpless Terri Schiavo. Her case has become the final straw and the rallying call for people with hearts and conscience.
The heartless and gutless liberals cannot win this one, because if they succeed in starving Terri Schiavo to death she will become a martyr to many millions of decent, God-fearing Americans. Her death would serve to strenghten the resolve of people of conscience and morals and liberals will continue to be voted into oblivion. And if Terri Schiavo is granted life after this outrageous and fiendish drive to starve her to death it will signify the return of compassion and respect for life, and will initiate the beginning of the end of the culture of death.
May God bless you and open your heart to the meek and needy.
I'm appalled that you're appalled.
I think you may be a bit loony toons.
"I'm appalled that you're appalled"
Well, I'm appalled that you're appalled that about him being appalled.
So anyway, what's up with this Schiavo thing?
I'm supposed to be ashamed about something so I can't say how appalling the whole situation is :)
Well, hey Keith, branching out into the main forum, I see. Good on you. Kick some butt.
Is there a list somewhere of these nineteen judges? Are you sure it does not include the judges and justices that have refused to hear the case?
