I went to public school and graduated college in the early '80s, and that was enough for me. It seems that things have only gotten worse. My sister, who lives in an upper-class neighborhood, told me that bus-Lewinskys in jr. high is not uncommon.

We're homeschooling through age 18, and then it's off to one of about 10 orthodox Catholic colleges. I can't in good conscience be a party to anything else.

Why don't these kids care about their health? Are they so low in self esteem that they deliberately practice such self-destructive behaviors?

It looks like fun on MTV.

A "good looking resume" or protecting your child's purity (by properly forming the intellect and will). Is that really a tough call?

I know about Stuebenville, but she's leaning toward Ave Maria Univ., a new Catholic college north-east of Naples FL. Very orthodox, but I think without what I perceive as the 'born again' flavor of Stuebenville.
