And IF both of those happened, DELIBERATELY, the judge and/or LE would have known, proven and prosecuted him for it.
You are ALWAYS in the kitchen :-)
I wish we could have a good gobfest over a pizza.
So, the Congressional members who are against activist judges are now.....er.....um....activists?
It is amazing to me that the same people who justified keeping Christopher Reeve alive are the very same people now screaming for the "right to die" for Terri.
They made it an election year issue, supported the spending of tens of millions of dollars to keep Superman, who was on almost total life support alive, and yet support "right to die" and Euthanasia, what this is really about, when it suits their political cause.

LOL, I know, can't help it!!
There sure seem to be some stark differences of opinion and of the record.
Someone should have gotten fairmindedly to the bottom of it long ago, imho.
You see no difference between Christopher Reeve and Terri Schiavo?
... and a handful of Freepers. I haven't gotten past your post #7 yet, but I'm betting that by the time I get to post #17 I'll need a barf bag. #20 at the latest.
Ya I was just listening to Fox News where that issue was raised. Apparently, language is being put in different from the Senate Bill to finesse that (just how is a bit fuzzy). As I said, I cannot imagine the federal court coming to a different result, particularly if it is not de novo. My guess, is that this is a buy time bill, in hopes that that Florida passes a law that finesses Browning and raises the standard to clear and convincing.
I have assumed to. But I'm beginning to wonder.
I agree.
Lise Weihl (sp?) on Fox just said that whatever they pass, the first thing that will be reviewed, if it is, is who the rightful guardian is; lacking evidence that he has done anything wrong, she thinks nothing will change.
If he divorced her and gave her parents custody I wouldn't hold that against him.
"You see no difference between Christopher Reeve and Terri Schiavo?"
The difference is politics. The left had no problem keeping Superman, one of their own alive, using his disability to push for embryonic stem cell research. When the patienmt is Terri, who is not on life support and has no living well, they are just as ardent about killing her.

How come Terri had to have 6 teeth pulled because the husband wouldn't allow her to see a dentist? And how come Michael refused to have urinary infection Terri got treated? The people at the home defied his wishes and treated the infection.
I thought DeLay was pretty constrained for Delay. He is a tight wound guy, no doubt about it. It is also vague as to just what the federal courts are being asked to do. But there is a procedural change. Only SCOTUS can review a state supreme court decision, and that is discretionary. If jurisdiction for review is granted to an appellate court, then it must take the matter up. Whether that raises constitutional issues in and of itself, I don't know. I am just a dirt bag provincial lawyer over my head.
Why?
Christopher Reeve could speak and speak articulately. He suffered spinal cord damage, not brain damage.
Nor am I.
It appears there isn't much there for anyone to work with.
Nothing short of a brain transplant.
Maybe I've just read too many bits and pieces which didn't sound like the hubby was all that straight of a fellow.
Not sure why else.
