You truly don't know?? Michael Schiavo has total control of Terri's environment. He has forbidden the very thing you suggest. The Schindlers once sneaked around and got something on tape. Michael was so angry, he banned them from Terri's room for many weeks. Since then, the Judge himself has ordered that the Schindlers better not ever repeat THAT offense again. Or else they would not like the result...
because they have been forbidden by the court and her loving husband (who just happens to be living with another woman with whom he has two children - a catholic woman who can't marry him in the church if he has a living or divorced spouse. no conflict of interest here...move along)
After the first couple years, after dear hubby successfully sued the hospital on charges and got well over a million dollars toward her treatment - he cut off all treatment and used, if you care to research it, half or more of the money in his legal battle to kill her - instead of allowing rehab treatment, indeed, even medical treatment when she got a cold or a urinary infection - and no dental treatment, no wheelchair or out of the the tiny room allowed...no stimulation. ... and has her in a hospice facility (five years now) which is for terminal patients expected to die within 6 months....She was not dying, was not terminal...

there is also the reported problem of ex rays about a year after she was stricken that showed fractures, and injuries to her neck consistent with strangling injuries - which could also cause loss of oxygen, and brain damage....
Now if that were the case, then he might just have an interest in seeing that she is not able to tell what happened originally....Else why wont he just divorce her and let the family take care of her, as they have begged him to do?
Oh, and then there's there's the report that he never "remembered" that she once told him she wouldn't want to live in that condition - until some years after she was in the hospital - and after he had won the money to take care of her....nothing here, move along
