" Whether she was going to say 'I want to live' or 'I want to die' still indicates she is NOT brain dead."
How can you argue that she is in a 'persistant vegetative state' and also argue that she COULD have resonded 'I want to die'.
Is she brain dead or isn't she?
Make up you mind!
Sorry!
YOUR mind!
Perhaps you are confusing my statements with someone else's. I have doubts that she is in fact able to respond. If this report is accurate and she really did respond with a "I waaaaaaa", I don't think it's out of the question for someone who has been lying there like that for 15 years to feel that enough is enough. All the time people say, "I don't want to end up like that. Please don't keep me hanging on" and that statement is not usually considered unreasonable. Why would it be so wildly outside the realm of possibility and "chilling" to consider that she may just want "out"?
