And Greer, vilified by many religious protesters, is a church regular. He also is a conservative Republican in a state whose conservative Republican governor tried to overturn one of Greer's orders.
"George is the religious right," said lawyer David Kurland, a longtime friend.
Friends say Greer's intellect is perfectly formed to withstand the very tempest he now faces. Always calm, not prone to mood swings or flares of temper, unerringly polite, he is not easily ruffled, they say.
But the criticisms sting, friends say. His relationship with his church, for example, has changed.
"He's been through a lot of storms in his life," said Mary Repper, a political consultant and friend. "This is just another one. George takes everything in stride."
Funny that you mention that, I was talking about heaven with someone and I told them if I went to heaven I would be happy being with God and all the Saints and if I went down below I would be so busy talking to all my friends I would still be happy. (must be the Irish in me)
it might well be hard to tell who's lying, but the POS husband has much more motive to keep her parents and siblings away than they have to lie about it. And the actions of the unholy 3 - Schavo, Felos, Greer - are quite apparent for their agenda. IMO
That was always the case and why the feeding tube should've been left right where it was :(
There are so many people that profess to be Christians however, their actions speak louder than words and though we are not supposed to judge others, God gives Christians the gift of discernment so that we can see through these "false" Christians. There are many out there and the true Christians would not condone this outrageousness. If the Lord wanted Terri to die, he would have taken her a long time ago in His own way. They have no right to assume the role of Creator, and they will pay for this in the end.
Agreed.
FGS, the entire world is looking at that Hospice; don't you think the press will notice if they can't get in?
At least TRY to be rational.
Her "caretakers" and the judge will not permit it. Only her death is acceptable. I will not be surprised if she dies of a "stroke" or "heart failure" tonight.
There's dirt on both sides' hands, IMO.
Has Terry Sciavo ever had a guardian appointed?
Well your opinion is garbage and moral relativism of the worse kind. On side simply wants their daughter to live, the other wants to starve a person to death. There is no moral equivalence there.
Her husband?
Yeah.
Considering it's his word against the parents and the testimony from both sides is problematic, I don't understand why a court never appointed a third party to act as her guardian.
Where is Eric Rudolph when we need him...
Thanks! What was the result of the follow-up tests, do you know?
Well, either this article or the one below is wrong.

"The pastor of the Florida judge involved in the Terri Schiavo case has spoken out, saying that pulling the disabled woman's feeding tube would be tantamount to murder."
"This isn't about letting someone die; this is about causing someone's death. There is a huge difference," William E. Rice, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Clearwater, Fla., wrote in a column posted on the Florida Baptist Witness website."
"Florida Judge George Greer is an inactive member(bold mine) of Calvary Baptist, where Rice has served as pastor for five months. Greer has ordered Schiavo's feeding tube be removed Friday. Rice, though, says removal of the tube would be unethical."
You have to wonder why Bill is allowed to mislead the public with his shoddy journalism.
Judge Greer public office info:
