To: proud American in Canada
That story someone posted about Terri communicating today that she wants to live, that she doesn't want the feeding tube removed, is heartbreaking.

It seems to me that her current communications on this topic should outweigh Michael Schiavo's memory of a conversation far in the past, which is apparently the foundation of Greer's order

Even if ALL the things Michael Schaivo said were true, and even if ALL the ruling of Judge Greer were legal, this woman is not even allowed to change her mind??? Sheesh. Women, especially, are allowed to change their minds all the time. Isn't this the argument people use in date rape situations? When the woman says "no" the man is supposed to stop?? Don't women have the right to change their minds up until the last moment of ANYTHING?
