The point is, Michael seems bound and determined not to allow others to see Terri and attempt to communicate with her. Why not? If she truly is a hopeless case, why not let it be publicly obvious?

Her own legal representative doesn't believe it, though. And those who do believe it must, necessarily, also believe that there is a massive conspiracy involving Michael, the Sheriff, the courts (and particularly Greer), and a host of medical professionals to conceal these facts. And that is about as credible as Weller's alleged account.
