Greer gives order
I am. For damned sure. HER WILL is decisive, and nothing else. If she wanted to live (as it seems), nobody shall stop feeding her. She is a human, after all!
We all die.
Anyone who would keep me alive after 15 years of tube feeding, I would regard as an enemy.
Folks seem to think that if Terri had a cerebral cortex, she would be asking to live.
Personally, after 15 years, I would be begging to die.
FOX News is now annoucing that yes her tube has been ordered for immediate removal and has a panel discussing it
Strange. I thought it was illegal to kill a congressional witness.
IF THAT GIRL DIES I DON'T LIKE TO PREDICT WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN!
Now it seems that the American people are perfectly contented for "unwanted" unborn children to be dismembered within a "mother's" womb, it is logical that such "people" won't mind disabled adults to be starved and dehydrated for the convenience of "others."
"My only problem with Michael is if the parents were willing to go against Terri's wishes and do it at their own expense... why not let them???"
Because he wants her dead.
Have you watched the video yet? Do it. Until you do you have no basis to agrue for her death. I don't care how smart you think you are or where you work. Go look at the facts and THEN come have rational debate on the subject.
A brain scan would be the No 1 necessity before anybody could take the tubes away. Unbelievable.
agreed, let her find peace in heaven
Florida guardianship statutes. He picks the ones he wants to obey, and the judge lets him get away with it.

I will state again......Terri used to eat and swallow (being spoon fed) until hubby dear decided it was too expensive and went to court to get feeding tubes installed. Now, he wants them removed. He has always denied any rehab treatment, so no one knows if she would respond. He has also denied an MRI and PET scan. Why?
She also used to sit in a chair....he stopped that too. What say you about reading up on the facts of Terri's life?
Great point!
BTW, I think you should write up a brief memoir of you accident and its aftermath, when you were unable to communicate your desire to live, to those around you discussing if your case was hopeless, and whether you should be "allowed to die."
It's a rare perspective, I think, and might change some hearts.
Interesting observation.
There does seem to be a thread of old-fashioned know-nothing-ism underlying a lot of what has occurred in this case.
When Nancy Cruzan was starved, the parents of KAQ said that they had never and would never have considered removing her feeding tube.
Boortz said that the brain stem also controls swallowing. He also said, and I don't know this to be factual, that because her cerebral cortex gone, she would not feel discomfort from thirst or hunger. Anybody know about this?
Are you taking the "Tommy" position? You know - deaf, dumb, and blind - in this case? The DOCUMENTED reactions and interaction by Terry with her environment and visitors is proof that she is not brain dead. Brain death allows no interaction. Brain death gives no reaction. Brain death results in no awareness. Terry is not only able to react, she can communicate and interact with those around her. She recognizes voices, she smiles, she moves, she does a lot of things that someone who is "brain dead" are not capable of.
Again, I suggest you do some reading, including right here on this thread, before you pass judgment. Otherwise, you are just as guilty as this judge.
Sorry, I´m from Germany and I haven´t cared about this case before today it was a (small) subject on the web news here.
What's weird is is that people whom I know who are pro abortion are against Terri's tube being removed.
