This woman isn't brain dead. She's not been diagnosed BRAIN DEAD. She's been diagnosed PVS. And there is serious question as to whether the diagnosis is accurate.

Nice article on this here: http://www.nationalreview.com/comment/johansen200503160848.asp

The state judiciary cannot interfere with the proper fuctioning of the Congress. One of its legitimate functions is to investigate if someone has wrongfully been deprived of the right to life and if such actions warrant the creation of a new law to protect that life and others in similar situations. Once again the 5th amendment of the Constitution gives them that power.

As for her being 'brain dead', that could only be claimed if the brain completely ceased functioning. That is evidently not the case here. This is a living person being murdered.

MonroeDNA is a Super Genius. He'll tell you so, give his IQ, and provide a list of his amazing inventions, as he has done on other threads.

He's much much smarter than us mere mortals, so we must, of course, defer to his superior judgment in matters of life and death.

If the feeding tube is being removed or not... I'm at work and don't have a tv. I just read what a freeper reported about CNN.

You really should read all the reports that say to the contrary before you make such an ill informed statement. Not to mention callous and brutal.

In fact, if you check through this forum, you'll see where Judge Greer is breaking Florida State law.

Or, is this just another "late term abortion" in your eyes?

What difference does it make? Her parents are willing to care for her. It makes no sense to pronounce a death sentence on someone who has responsible caretakers willing to tend her. If only for the mental health of the parents she should be allowed to stay with them.

I can't figure out the husband's motives. He has a new "wife", children and life, why doesn't he just let Terri's parents have her. His behavior defies all logic.

Is it good to kill those who are inconvenient to their spouses?

Isn't it interesting that as Terri's guardian, Michael Schiavo CAN NOT authorize having his wife sterilized, but he can have her killed?

Guardians do NOT have TOTAL authority for all medical treatment.

You people really should read the constitution. States have powers over and above the feds. The feds have very few powers relating to the internal workings of a state. The state judge has every right to overrule the federal judge and that is the way it should be. You people are trying to break all sorts of laws, constitutional and other wise, to uphold your good intentioned but wrong headed views about Terri. SHE IS BRAIN DEAD. That means she can't recover. She is not in a coma, coma patients sometimes recover, people who have no cerebral cortex never recover and this is Terri's condition as sad as it may be. She is never going to recover, she is not responsive regardless of what you have convinced yourself of. Let her go, let her find some peace.

Is that you Judge Greer? Stop hiding from those subpoenas!

I have contempt for that evil minion and his lack of common sense and decency. I do not recognize the validity of his order.

Congress, the president, the Govenor the state legislature want her to live. No US District Court Judge, who might want a Court of Appeals appointment is going to deny a stay for 10 days till the hearing.
