H - There is? Well, thanks for setting me straight on that. DUH.
I think you missed my point: ANY TIME the Congress gets involved it is guaran-damn-teed to be a three ring circus with people rushing for face time.
Howlin, I didn't miss your point. I acknowledged it and simply pointed out that there was a much more important factor at work in this matter. Congress being a "three-ring-circus" is a constant, like pi, so we have to factor that out and look at the particular issue at hand. As ohioWfan said in post 1,134:
I don't think anyone's 'making a circus' out of this changes the fundamental point of this case...and The culture of death will have won a great victory, and sooner or later, we will all pay for it.
We should all respect "the Law" and endeavor to abide by it, but we should never worship it nor its functionaries blindly and submit supinely to whatever moral and ethical depravities they attempt to inflict upon us in its name.
For a society to remain free, there comes a time when those who wield "the Law" in an immoral manner as a weapon against their fellow citizens must be resisted. It remains to be seen what form that resistance will take, but it will out, one way or another, because that is human nature. I suspect the "culture of death" ohioWfan refers to will win this battle, this time. I also suspect that history will show it to have been a phyrric victory.
He is going to do everything he can using legal means to keep her from being murdered.
If she dies, I pray that it is indeed a phyrric victory for the enemy, because it results in the awakening of the sleeping giant of morality and righteousness in this country.
