George Greer's Newspaper, St. Petersburg Times, Comes to His Defense and engages in a transparent diversionary, smoke and mirrors tactic. Doesn't Greer's wife work at SP Times?

The St. Petersburg Times, an ardent supporter of George W. Greer, the judge at the center of the worldwide controversy over the barbaric execution of Terri Schindler-Schiavo, seemed intent to engage in spin control Saturday with an article attacking The Empire Journal and in defense of former sheriff Everett Rice.

Bousque places his emphasis on The Empire Journal’s revelation last week that Rice had hired Schiavo at the jail and that the mother of Schiavo’s adulteress, Jodi Centonze, was a 20-year employee of Rice at the jail.

SP reporter Stephen Bousquet said that Rice had just become aware of The Empire Journal as a result of several articles which have appeared in the last week about Rice, in particular the revelation that just days prior to leaving the office of Pinellas County sheriff to became a member of Florida’s House of Representatives, Rice hired Michael Schiavo for the nursing staff at the Pinellas County Jail.
BET HE'S READING IT REGULARLY NOW---JUST LIKE GEORGE HITLER

Bousque’s article claims that June Maxam, co-publisher of The Empire Journal, “has aimed “most of her outrage at Rice”. However, a visit to The Empire Journal’s website at www.theempirejournal.com will quickly indicate that Bousque’s attempt is little more than a diversionary tactic, a smoke and mirrors approach, to cover for. Greer, a judicial tyrant who has steadfastly ignored probate rules, judicial canons, Florida Statutes, the Florida Constitution and the U.S. Constitution to kill a disabled woman who’s only “crime” is that she ingests her nutrition and hydration in an alternative method. The Journal has been reporting aspects of the Schiavo case which the mainstream media and newspapers like the St. Petersburg Times have attempted to cover up and refuse to address.

Rice’s comment that “it’s hard to find good nurses” also goes to the heart of the Schiavo case and George Greer’s alleged mishandling of domestic abuse cases. Had Rice’s good buddy George Greer been more responsive to following the law and performing his judicial duties, not only would a woman be alive today but one of Rice’s “good nurses” might still be working at the jail.

When Helene Ball McGee if Dunedin, Fla., turned to Greer for protection against her abusive husband, Bobby Lane McGee in March, 1998, Greer rebuked her plea for help, saying that he wasn’t “convinced that her life was in imminent danger”.

In asking for the court order, she told Greer that her husband forced himself on her sexually, burned her belongings and said she was possessed by the devil. Greer ruled that she didn’t have “enough proof” that her husband was violent because she said he had not been physically violent----yet. Apparently Rice took no steps to protect one of his own employees from harm either.

Two weeks later, Helene McGee was dead, stabbed to death.

Her husband had left a message telling her he was leaving town, leading her to believe that it would be safe to return to their home because he wouldn’t be there. Upon entering her home, he stabbed her to death.

Deputies found her husband hiding, submerged in a drainage ditch behind their house, wearing camouflage and a black mask. He was charged with first degree murder.

Helene McGee was a nurse at the Pinellas County Jail operated by Pinellas County Sheriff Everett Rice, Pinellas County Sheriff, one of Greer’s best friends. Her co-workers say she was scared to death of her husband.
