Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that in Your hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind. This mother's child is sustained this day by You, O God, and no other. Soothe her brow and ease her pain, for the one who pledged to love and cherish her has consigned this wounded woman to a horrible death, sanctioned by the very courts charged to protect her. Bring forth that one Judge, O God, who will render the justice long denied, who will proclaim loudly that "thou shalt not kill." Years of agony have been the portion of her family ... sustain them in their great hour of need. May Terri's words burn brightly in their hearts, and in ours ... "where there's life, there's hope." Pierce the hearts of men this day ... those whose job it is to protect the American people ... grant the greatest wisdom and courage that these same people can fashion words that will redeem Terri from sure and certain death. We look to You expectantly, O Lord, for You are Sovereign God. To You be all glory, honor, and praise, now and forevermore, Amen ...
