Yes - I understand. But, the words used is "remove the tube." There is a difference. Most folks have been in hospital rooms and seen all the tubes and wires that they hook up for most anything. Few of us have any experience with Terri's actual situation.

I saw a picture of one not too long ago and part of it stays on the person between feedings and they connect the other part during the feeding. I wish I could remember the thread I saw it on. Lots of people live normal lives with feeding tubes. There are other people here that can explain it better then I can. Why don't you do a google, I bet you will find the info you are looking for
