My next question to Big Mac. 'What would your tell you kids when they say that daddy was a cheater?'
Mac ought to tell this panel to shove it up their asses and walk out. This is a farce of 10 on the Richter scale.
Congress does have to right to get on baseball's case about its lax policy. The way to do that properly would be to haul the owners and commissioner in and berate him about it, and then threaten to pass legislation if baseball doesn't clean up its act. This was pure grandstanding.
I don't think many people here have an idea of how many hours each days these guys spend working out, lifting weights, etc. I guess people think that since the game doesn't start until 7:10PM that they must sleep until 3 in the afternoon or something.
One more thing, take a look at the MLB schedule. Over the course of five months they get about 10 days off.
Of course, they're well compensated, so they're not complaining, but the image that these guys are just pampered, lazy atheletes is just wrong. They work incrediby hard.
