Well, they did get that exemption under the Sherman Anti-Trust Act, can't recall the citation. It wouldn't be the first time the US government intervened in MLB. I don't know the which Rep. it was but he suggested applying the Olympic standard and I agree. First incident two year suspension, second incident banned for life.
That being said Jose Canseco is an ass.
