The U.S. House passed legislation late yesterday to delay removal of the feeding tube that is keep- ing alive a brain-damaged woman whose husband has been given permission by a state court to allow her to die.
The House bill, passed on a voice vote, would move such a case to federal court. Federal judges have twice turned down efforts by Schiavo's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, to move the case out of Florida courts, citing a lack of jurisdiction.
Republicans in the U.S. Senate are introducing a separate bill to give Schiavo and her family standing in federal court, and they hope it can be debated today, a GOP aide said.

Actually, this is exactly what I want, my Landlord is a rat-bastard and I hope I die and stink up the place as much as possible.
You've got mail.
..Yes, I would pray that someone would help me if I ever found myself in Terri's situation... I'd pray that they'd put a pillow over my face.
.....
Gee, you put it in writing. Remember all - he wants the pillow.
Of course it will have to be someone else - I do not have the courage to face God after putting a pillow over someones face to kill them - no matter if they wished it or not. You see - that is suicide if they do it, and murder if I do it (neither one is very pleasing to God but those committing suicide are usually not in their right minds so He might feel a bit kinder about them.) But, murder? Not me.
As per your tagline, I suggest beans. Wait. Does your landlord live in the same building?

If Terri wakes up, I will give her a "piggy-back" ride over the Brooklyn Bridge!!
I want Terri to stay alive because she is a human being who has done nothing wrong and is perfectly capable of living provided she gets food and water like everyone else in the world.
The dogpile is that he puts in a comment about wishing her to live but then throws in the comments about "who will be paying", etc. We are not dummies - we know what he is doing.
The points of who is paying is not a part of the question. Life and death are the question.
And, we don't obtain the right to pull the plug because someone is costly - that is still murder and God still will hold us accountable.
So, his only option is to not pay taxes. If it means jail, it means jail. Then he becomes one of the non-producers of society and is on the short list of those no longer entitled to live.

I don't know. She's got a crush on her parents attorney, Gibbs. She may not go for it.
It is a differemt kind of bang!
One must be very careful what they ask for.
Peace.
"And, we don't obtain the right to pull the plug"
What plug would they be pulling? It's not like they would be shutting down a respirator or anything like that. The only thing they would be pulling from her is her food supply. "Pulling the plug" and literally starving someone to death are two completely different things.
just another in a long line of dissappointments.
People are denied life-saving medical care every single day of the year because they cannot afford the treatment.
Are you an advocate of HillaryCare?
Do you believe in capitalism?
It does not matter if it happens or not. You seem to ignore the fact that we are not God.
You also seem to ignore the fact that murder is murder and is not tied to how much it costs, if they can walk, if they work, if they feel pain.
I worry about your thinking. We are not the judge of who lives and we don't ever want to be - that is God's reign.
No matter how you try to justify it, it is still murder. It is also apparently a very slippery slope for you and you are already on it. I would bet that you also believe in abortion - which is also killing. See - once you kill it becomes easier and the boundaries broaden.
Where is the end? What will be ok in 20 years? Death to all who do not think as you do? Great - we have people everywhere killing others for one reason or another. Life just gets better and better.
It is a differemt kind of bang!
Ok. My sons were trained as canoneers at Ft Sill. They like blowing things up so I have a different concept of "bang".
"People are denied life-saving medical care every single day of the year because they cannot afford the treatment. "
AAARGH!!!!
One more time: Giving someone FOOD and WATER is not some kind of exotic medical treatment. It is a basic necessity of life that you are advocating witholding from someone who has done nothing wrong.
I do daily.
Just quit paying your taxes. But, please quit taking my school taxes, my city taxes, my state taxes. I would not want to pay any of your fees.
Why? I posted to someone that Terri IS on Medicaid/Medicare. Isn't that part of what a creep Schiavo is? We can't say that Terri's parents and siblings want to assume the responsibility? What exactly is wrong with questions?
Life and death are the question.
And Nitro believes she should live.
