The right or the obligation? Having the right suggests some VERIFIABLE input from the INDIVIDUAL CONCERNED as the the choice that they make. IMHO, not being a legal person, Schiavo's statement is questionable because of apparent conflicts of interest on several levels. That the court find this admissible, I find ... interesting.

Terri's wishes not to be sustained using artificial tubes were litigated in court, where several witnesses were called. The court found "clear and convincing evidence" of Terri's wishes.

Even if Michael Schiavo and Judge Greer are abducted by space aliens, Terri's wishes will be enforced by Florida courts. At least, that's the way it looks by reading today's opinion.

This demonizing of Michael misses the point, but it's fun to post about the "evil" husband trying to "murder" his wife for "money."
