Nobody's telling you accept, embrace, or applaud anything. It's just all the "fire and brimstone" that is plain rediculous (sic)..

The greatest Communicator on earth, the founder of Western Civilization, the author of Mercy and Truth, the one who freed us from centuries of abject tyranny, had the very same habit of speaking about eternal death, the lake of fire, and eternal punishment.

In the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Think about that.

No disprespect meant to you. I guess we just see things differently, which is okay by me. One of the gifts God gave us is a fantastically complicated brain, capable of levels of higher reasoning unmatched elsewhere in nature. It would be a shame not to use it. For example, I for one do not believe that the Earth (or the Universe) is only 7000 years old and was created in 7 days. Nor do I believe there is a "lake of fire" where "heathens" go and burn for eternity. After all, the Bible says "eternal punishMENT" and not eternal punishING" and it also states that when a person dies, "his thoughts perish".

(sorry I can't quote chapter and verse, I am no good with that.)
