"Take your blinders off and you'll see that there is no difference between that statement and the kinds of statements you make about ALL Muslims, whoc you call "slime."

We don't do that kind of bigoted hate here at FR."

I see that in my absence the same tired line is being thrown at the defenders of our Judeo/Christian American way of life.

It is such a cheap tactic plus it's intellectually lazy to throw the word bigot around when confronted by people who have come to the well researched conclusion that islam presents a clear and present danger. Those of us who have reached this conclusion did not do so happily.

And frankly, pointing the finger and denouncing us as bigots is such a typically leftist/liberal tactic that I'm surprised to even find it here at FR, unless the poster is a DU troll.

But I'll give it a shot--no, most muslims don't engage in terrorism. But how many condemn those who do?

There are two kinds of evil men; those who do evil and those who see evil being done and do nothing to stop or to even condemn it.

I find myself comparing alcoholism to Islam.
Now, maybe that seems to be a stretch, but there are a lot of parallels.

The Second Step of AA says:
2.[We] "Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity."
I know of no greater insanities than the world of alcoholism and Islam.

3. "Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him."
God is waiting. He wants none to perish. All it takes is the will to give it all to God.

4. "Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves."

5. "Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs."

There is an inventory of the evil acts of Islam. It's called the History of Terrorist Acts since 1969.
The admission of this evil is what Christians and Jews have been asking for.

6. "Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character."

7. "Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings."

God, and only God, can remove the evil in the hearts of Muslims all over the world. All they have to do is ask Him.

8. "Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all."

9. "Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others."

Muslims can start with verbal amends to the survivors of the Kobar Towers massacre, the USS Cole, the World Trade Center and Bali, to name a few.

More complete list

10. "Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it."

11. "Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out."

12. "Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these Steps, we tried to carry this message to (Muslims) alcoholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs."

These steps can begin to cure the disease and insanity of Islam in the same way they start the suffering alcoholic on the road to recovery.

In AA we call the people who facilitate the continuance of the alcoholic's disease, "enablers".
The silent majority of Muslims who say nothing and do nothing to condemn the insanity of their terrorist brothers are enablers.

Well, your research wasn't good enough. It's NOT Islam, it's Islamism

There have been some condemnations, including a recent fatwa against bin Laden, which I hope is carried out successfully. There have not been enough of them, I'll grant you, but the ones that have been issued do not get much attention from the media, because the media wants to portray our current efforts as a war against Muslims rather than a war against terrorists. If we show Muslims condemning the terrorists, that makes it clearly focused as a war on terror (which it si, of course), not a war on Islam. Once again, the media is serving its ideologyu before the facts.
