Condi has said abortions should be as rare as possible. What kind of position do you think that represents? I say it's as close to the president's as possible. Prove me wrong.

Actually, President Bush has always been far too smart to say something that dumb.

But it is almost a word for word quote from Bill Clinton.

Perhaps her views on abortion is why she defines herself as 'mildly' pro-choice. Would you define someone who is against abortion except in cases of rape, incest and life of mother to be pro life, or mildly pro choice?

Actually, President Bush has always been far too smart to say something that dumb.

Laura bush said it:

Her actions prompted a Washington Times reporter to ask Laura Bush whether she has changed her mind on the issue of abortion.

Asked on Thursday whether she is now pro-life, the First Lady responded, "Yes, I think abortion should be rare."

Laura Bush also told Times reporter Bill Sammon that she agreed with President Bush that human life begins at conception.

And White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer said it:
"I think the president's efforts are going to focus immediately on those things that we can get done. There is a series of steps we can take to make abortion rare." he said.
