Hispanics...that vaunted 44% (as opposed to 35% in 00)poll from NEP has been rather discredited by Michelle Malkin (can I still say her name here?) and many others.
Sorry, I'm not buying Torie. Hispanics may have been up 3 points according to some because of huge Cuban get out the vote efforts.....not la Migra conciliation which is what Rove woulda loved.
Whites were up about 4%.....I think my homestates white vote was 87%...lol....that about says it all.
What cohort are you referencing?
I think it's sad W hasn't gotten the dividends he should have amongst Mexicans in particular. Maybe they ought to look at that again. Think I should call?

Cubans swung to Kerry by a bit (check out Dade county). Bush went from 34% to about 40% with Hispanics ( I know that figure is real, because I have looked at some Hispanic counties and precincts, and that is my best judgment, and in rural Rio Grande Texas the swing hit 15% or more in some places), and from 19% to 25% with Jews (I checked out Jewish precincts in NY and Florida just as a check, and the swing was real). My cohort is upper middle class secular urban Yankee WASPS. That cohort was not a Bush growth industry.
By the way, the swing to Bush among Protestant Hispanics was massive. And what percentage of Hispanics in the US who vote are Protestant? 40%. Write that down. 40%.
87% of whites in Tenn did not vote for Bush, or anywhere close to it, nor did they in Miss, although in the latter it was probably 80%.
