There were FReepers here insisting she was the same as W on abortion.

I have never heard W refer to pro-life as "the other side".

She is pro-choice...that's it.....and that makes her for abortion one way or another.

Frankly, I don't have anything other than this issue really against the lady but I cannot for a moment understand this fawning over her.....not for a moment.

Hell, Karen Hughes is more "political" if a woman is all they want.

Talk about moving the goal posts! Her stated position (so far) is as close to his as possible as enumerated here multiple times, yet now unless Bush has said some magic words she is for abortion and he is against it. Sheesh. She said it should be "as rare as possible" whereas Bush only said it should be "more rare."

I was reading that. I withheld comment until I read the story.

I cannot for a moment understand this fawning over her.....not for a moment.

Some people think we need a woman running in order to have a chance against the 'unbeatable Hillary'. I think that's a pile of horse manure myself, but that's how some think.

I think Condi Rice is a very good diplomat. That said the life issue is one that is very key with my vote.
