TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- The husband of brain-damaged Terri Schiavo has rejected a one (m) million dollar offer to drop his efforts to remove her feeding tube.
Michael Schiavo's attorney George Felos says that other offers already have been made and rejected. Felos called the offer offensive.
The woman's parents are trying to keep their 41-year-old daughter alive, but Michael Schiavo contends he once promised his wife he would not keep her alive by artificial means.
Terri Schiavo suffered a heart attack and severe brain damage 15 years ago.
The Pinellas County woman has lived in what court-appointed doctors call a persistent vegetative state since then.
San Diego businessman Robert Herring said yesterday that he would pay Michael Schiavo one (m) million dollars if he transfers the legal right to decide his wife's medical treatment to the Schindlers.
The offer will remain on the table until Monday.
I think the people who keep posting these 450,000 posts about Schiavvo have already tried and convicted her husband without giving him any benefot of the doubt.
Some day many of them will face the torture of taking away feeding tubes or shutting down artificial means of sustaining life to their relatives. This woman is young so they wish to save her . How many Comatose elderly or cancer victims are starved every day when feeding tubes are removed? When you face this with your mother or father how will you feel if your sister or brother accuses you of murder.
That has been my gut feeling since hearing this yesterday.

Not if he wants her dead. He already spent $400,000 on legal fees trying to kill her (money ment for Terri's rehab)
Killing your wife slowly by starvation so you can marry your shack up honey and "legitimize" your illegitimate children is offensive.

Deliberate starvation and dehydration of someone is murder. Removing food or water from someone who dies of something else before they starve or dehydrate is not murder.
And yes, there are a lot of unacknowledged murderers out there. But it would be better for them to admit that they were conned into doing a very bad thing and seek forgiveness, than for them to pretend that what they did is really "okay".

I thought that too. Gloria Allred saw cameras and ran for the light. She'd run the vacuum to suck out a fetus, why would she give a sh!t about Terri except for the fact this is becoming a bigger story every day and she was missing out on the on-air face time

You don't understand the meaning of the word "offensive", you bottom-feeding shyster. Your client tried to murder his wife, and botched it. Michael doesn't give a rat's ass about any amount of money...he is scared to death that Terri will one day regain her ability to speak, the cat will be out of the bag, and he will go to prison for a long, long time. He wants her dead, and he wants the evidence destroyed through the cremation process. By the way...why aren't there 10,000 or so outraged Floridians raising hell outside of Greer's home?
Usually no statute of limitations on capital murder. What about attempted murder.
If Mikey goes to jail (life/30yrs/what have you), the inmate population may arrange for his execution.

My Dad died nine months ago of sepsis. It was not only horrific for him, but for those of us who stayed at his side. The infection ravaged every system in his body.
He was dying, and when his liver, and kidneys totally shut down, the doctors, with our agreement, stopped giving him TPN (total parenteral nutriton) through his central line.
Basically, when the calories were spent, so was he.
His cause of death was listed as sepsis.
Terri Schiavo is not dying. She is not in physical pain. If they remove her feeding tube, the cause of her death will not be sepsis, cancer, or some other disease. The cause of her death will be starvation.
I just haven't crossed that line where I think that we should starve, or euthanize those who some my deem inconvenient or undesirable.
