Saw the same video clip you are referring to here. The man was extremely obese. In a case like that, especially with so many people around, she (and her colleagues) should have anticipated needing assistance to avoid the wasted time.

He didn't look obese to me. Just a big football-playing type.

Besides, we are BOMBARDED with stories on the news and in print, about how FAT the American public is.

Given that fact, why should time-wasting, "special" arrangements have to be made when life-saving seconds are ticking away?

It damn sure shouldn't be done for "political correctness", ala former demonRAT politician Patricia Schroeder, and others of her political ilk.

At least we should be able to agree that a crew MUST have at least ONE individual (of course, TWO is MUCH better) on an ambulance that can do like the police officer that jumped in and did today, get the patient up in the ambulance so they can get to the hospital in a timely, and hopefully, life-saving manner.
