It's sad that this Judge was killed and others wounded, but perhaps other Judges out there holding Criminal Court will require the defendents to be in restraints...hand and leg irons. Usually the use of restraints within the courtroom rests on the decision of the Judge presiding.
Stun belts are effective and do not "prejudice" the jurors. But no safeguard will work if procedures aren't followed -- and in towns like Atlanta, all is patronage and political correctness.
I wonder if the medical examiner is doing a toxicology study on the escorting deputy.
