I bet he got in the reporters car and found indications
in the car that the man worked for the AJC and it may
have had a parking pass so he figured he could ditch it
there for a while. That is close to five points station
where he could catch the subway out to the burbs or
the airport.

Mind you, there were a fair number of tourists at that point starting to head for the Dome and the SEC tourney. He could have blended in fairly easily.
