I misunderstood (or it's been a long week) - did Howard say the call, allegedly from the killer, come in SINCE he escaped from the courthouse?

I thought about that driving home...he could be in anyone's house right now. They would find him, but not tonight.
If I was one of his friends who turned him in before, I think I would have at 9:01 this am.
