The first descriptions on FOX & Drudge said only that he was "Medium Complexion". Later on in the day they produced a picture which identifed the killer as African-American.

It doesn't matter if he was pink with blue pok-a-dots, they should have reported it as such right from the very beginning of his escape.

apparently the radio descriptions have been: male, black, medium complexion, etc...

ethnicity is the second most valuable piece of information after gender, without which the "complexion" data is meaningless.
