Was he a jail inmate? If so, why wasnt he in restraints in court? Kind of hard to run away in chains and orange flip flops.
He's a dead man. Either the cops will shoot him, an armed citizen will shoot him, or he will be captured and sentenced to death. They take cop killing seriously in Ga.

If so, why wasnt he in restraints in court?Presumption of innocence. It's been argued (successfully) that letting the jury see the defendant in restraints or jail uniform destroys that presumption, so defendants are unrestrained and change into business clothes at the courthouse before being taken into the courtroom.

When this happened in Milwaukee it was a Sheriff screw-up. Someone forgot to put the stun-belt on the guy.
