Shouldn't this be impossible? How can you say you have security system; if all a violent defendant needs to do is out muscle a woman or weaker man. Was she the only Deputy in the court room?
What exactly is the point of the metal detectors and all the other so called security, if they are not going to have any real security in the courtroom itself?
I have no police, security or weapons training so I am simply amazed by cases like this.
I saw a reenactment of the shoot out in Miami in the 90s, where 4 FBI agents were killed and I was dumfounded by the apparent lack of training confronting heavily armed suspects. What about the 4 Mounties who were killed. What am I missing here?
I'm going to wait to hear all the details, but it seems there had to be a lapse of some kind. It only takes a moment for something like this to be possible, and that's all it took for the evil in this man to act.
