The green Honda Accord police had been searching for all day was found late Friday night — in the same parking garage from which it had supposedly been carjacked more than 12 hours earlier.Tim Doss, an Atlanta Journal-Constitution pressroom employee, said he found the car around 11 p.m. in a parking garage at Marietta and Spring streets. Charlotte B. Teagle/AJC The 1997 Honda which was the object of the search is towed from the parking garage in downtown Atlanta shortly after midnight.
It was found in the same garage — but on a different level — from where it had been taken at gunpoint from another AJC employee around 9 in Friday morning.
"He [the suspect] went from one level of the parking lot to another, apparently," Atlanta police spokesman John Quigley said early Saturday. "We don't know if any other cars are missing. I don't know if the person took public transportation or took another vehicle. There's lots of options."
So, I think Whorealdo gets the scoop. He was reporting the perp was in custody while CNN was reporting "there seems to be a hostage situation."
Rita Cosby is greatly pissed.
He escaped from custody in a courthouse, made it out of a court house, carjacked several cars, had the police chasing the wrong car for 24 hours, took out two officers. Not many could have done that.
I'm not praising this guy, I'm just saying that his resourcefulness made him VERY dangerous.
His only mistake was to stay in town when everyone in the state was looking for a green honda.
