Really? That is strange since until the beggining of the 20th century when politicians BSed everyone into believing that the income tax would only tax the rich all we had were sales taxes and the country did just fine plus the expense of the IRS wasn't in the budget. Not to mention the fact that the average taxpayer wasn't in danger of becoming a criminal because they missed a sentence or two in an arcane tax code such as we have now.

The way to reduce the stead creep of tax rates is to put a limit on the sales tax, a top limit.

The sales tax is a FAIR tax to all, everyone gets taxed at the same rate, if sales tax is 7 percent then rich and poor pay 7 percent.

We would not go into a depression. The only people against this tax are mainly Democrats, communist, liberals, progressives or any other name you want to give to a left wingers. They are against it because it limits how much money the government can rip from the people.

It will be interesting to see what happens when every business or individual that rents gets socked with a 30% increase in their rent due. Overnight.
