your characterization of people who barely make ends meet is revealing. I spent many years barely making out and a new car was merely a dream that I had no reasonable expectation.
So did I. As already posted, by stating the comment about an additional 20-30% shows that you have not read the plan.
Besides, the free market is not responsible for what life throws at you.
I used an extreme example to show that there are also people in the low-end that have absolutely no drive in life and I am sick of having to be responsible for them.

I agree with most of what you are saying, but there area n awful lot of "IF"s here, and a lot of assumptions that sound good on paper. Gerald Ford thought that if you could hold the line on wages and prices that you would "Whip Inflation Now"> that didn't work either and many lower income people who lose wages back then have yet to fully recover.
