On a side note, 27 nurses called in sick for work and one mysterious bouquet of flowers arrived in advance from someone only known by the signature "M".

"PUMP YOUR BLOOD" SONG - VERSE ONE

Pump, pump, pumps your Blood.

The right atrium's where the process begins, where the CO2 Blood enters the heart.
Through the tricuspid valve, to the right ventricle, the pulmonary artery, and lungs.
Once inside the lungs, it dumps its carbon dioxide and picks up its oxygen supply.
Then it's back to the heart through the pulmonary vein, through the atrium and left ventricle.
Pump, pump, pumps your Blood.

"PUMP YOUR BLOOD" SONG - VERSE TWO

Pump, pump, pumps your Blood.

The aortic valve's, where the Blood leaves the heart, then it's channeled to the rest of the bod.
The arteries, arterioles, and capillaries too bring the oxygenated Blood to the cells.
The tissues and the cells trade off waste and CO2, which is carried through the venules and the veins
Through the larger vena cava to the atrium and lungs, and we're back to where we started in the heart."

Tah Dah!!!

Bubba hasn't been looking too good recently.

He looks 20 years older than he is....not good.

Okay. I only know from my admittedly limited layman's perspective that fluid buildup around the heart and/or lungs does not portend well for the long-term. I've known several people who had weak hearts and once that started, temp fixes relieved the problem right then, but problems kept resurfacing until they finally yielded. Of course, medical technology is constantly evolving; what killed you thirty years ago is a routine fix today.

I wonder how dangerous air flight is to people with health problems? A good friend of mine, who had a heart transplant, continued to travel heavily afterward - constanting flying long distances. I disapproved but said nothing. My dear friend only lived several years after the heart transplant while others in her support group are still going strong. Has any research been done on this?

ROFLOL!

You use the 'F' word in your first sentence and lecture me on class and claim to be appalled!!!

Thank you for the lecture Mike.

-----"Any FReepers with cardio experience. How long do you have to be off blood thinners or beta blockers prior to this type of surgery...that could maybe explain the delay."

I have been on coumadin. They had me stop 24-48 hours before peforming any proceedures. Even ones that have low risk of blood loss.

Justice, Grace, and Mercy.

I thank God that He does not execute Justice on me all the time, but shows me Grace and Mercy most of the time.

The wife and I were just remarking about how poor he looked compared to a lot of people who are this far out from a bypass. We thought his recovery wasn't going too well.

I agree by now he should look much better he only just managed to join John Kerry at the back end of his election campaign and looked very tired, by that stage a lot of people are back at work if not full time at least part time.

Sounds like he preferred the glory of the spotlight instead of resting after his heart surgery for a year! For goodness sakes the man had major heart surgery and within 3 months he was hitting the spotlight trial!! Oh well he chose unwisely!!

Whilst not wanting to disagree with you IMHO I do not think he has rushed things that much. I know that when Dick Cheney had his quadruple bypass he was only 47 but if you consider he had his by-pass in August 1988 and was then appointed Secretary of Defense in January 1989 I am certain between those 2 dates he was not resting that much after all he had his Congressional seat to think of and I think that he was also was appointed minority whip during the latter part of 1988. Clinton IMHO has not recovered well but has probably recently tried to do things he should be able to do by now and discovered that he can't.

If you want to maybe someday in the future make medical decisions based on incorrect information it's no skin off my nose. I thought part of the reason for this board was to clear up misconceptions.

"No Bashing.
We ain't DU.

exactly, we won't gloat over other peoples misery unlike the DUmmies who thrive on it."

You guys need to speak for yourselves. Freepers, like any other large group, are not monolithic, so it's both inaccurate and simplistic to make such broad generalizations about them. In addition, nobody appointed you the spokesperson for all posters. Posters should be allowed to express their opinions (including ranting and raving and venting their spleen, letting everything all hang out when it comes to their opinions and feelings about BJ Clinton) without some "guilt trip" being placed on them by you holier than thous.

Congestive Heart failure can come from different causes. If they are being straigh about Clinton's problem being related to constriction due to scar tissue then once that is corrected, he won't have CHF anymore.

Whether or not Clinton is a bad guy is somewhat beside the point at this time. He's done his damage but the unintended consequence is that the left ideologues, power seekers and media no longer have the bulk of the power.
We do.

"Whether or not Clinton is a bad guy is somewhat beside the point at this time."

In your opinion.

Some here may want to wish ill will on him, and those individuals should have free reign to express that opinion without "chastisement" from other posters.
