Remember how long he recuperated? I drove my grandson to the drag races at 18 days. It was less painful to get in the pickup on the driver side than as a passenger...
To: xsmommy
I'm supposed to celebrate, IIRC, but I have to wait 'till he's dead.

Too much world travel at his age with his medical complications. He pushed it too far with that international travel agenda.
Agreed.
He wanted (wants) to be liked and loved and well-thought of, even in post-Presidency.
His trademark media granstanding and constant need for attention and validation by others, could just be the cause of an early demise.
After they fix him this time and sew him up, they need to go to work on the part from the neck up, deep/serious pscyho-counseling, IMHO.

Congestive heart failure is not treated surgically. Pleural effusions can be a byproduct of CHF...and, if big enough, are indeed treated surgically.

You could be correct, but when I say that Bush, Sr., and Clinton were going tot he tsumani area, I just cringed and thought 'bad idea.' Mr. Bush is too old, and Mr. Clinton too sickly. Even with all of the precautions that I am sure were taken to insulate them from illness, it was not the best of all ideas to send those two. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't wish pleurisy or congestive heart failure on anyone.

Peachy, it looks like it's a partial collapse--if that makes a difference--I have absolutely no idea. It's looks to be part of the lower left lobe of the left lung.
Bubba's problems seem to be all of a *leftist* origin.

The day I'm on my knees for Bubba, is the day I'm on my knees for Saddam. Are you saying Clinton and Saddam Hussein are equals in your eyes? How can you say that?
To: I still care
Well, this will always mark the fundamental ethical difference between atheists/Christian haters on the one hand, and Christians and men/women of moral good will, on the other. You can see this distinction in analyzing the various posts on DU re: Reagan, their sworn enemy, and FR re: Clinton, our sworn enemy. You really can.

I dunno. Hmph. President Bush the elder is in better shape than Clinton...it was a courteous gesture on Clinton's part, but foolish. Well, if it contributed to him being ill (who knows?) and if it kills him, at least he'll go down in history as doing something decent.

It's going to be an FNC news alert allllll day long. At least maybe this will bump Martha off the breaking news status.
Here's hoping clinton has no more health problems after this. He really hasn't looked well at all. (Don't miss hillary being all smiles as she was right before his surgery)

Of course, my gut tells me that, too. However, my mind and heart also tells me he was certainly no worse than Saul toward the Christians. And sheesh, look what happened to Saul!
