Our Loving Father,

In You Alone we have Placed our Faith and our Trust. Through our Grief and our Tears we Behold Your Mercy, as You Raise Up Intercessory Voices from the Unlikliest of Places. You are Glorious, Your Majesty, in Your Sovereignty and Your Strength, and Your Children Bow in Reverence to the King. Our Powerful God, Thou art "Able of these Stones to Raise Up Voices for our Terri!" We Thank You, our Father, for Your Intervention into the Affairs and Hearts of men.

Bless the Efforts, our Lord, of the man You have Called to this Occasion, Working Mightily through him to Move the Florida Legislator to Act! We can Scarcely Believe what we are Praying, Mighty God, but "This is the Lord's Doing, and it is Marvellous in our Eyes!" Be Exalted, Lord-King, as You Seek Out and Ordain whom You Will to Stand in the Gap for Your Precious Daughter!

O Lord our God, our Holy One, Hear the Cries of Your saints for Deliverance for our sister, Sweeping Aside the Goliaths who Appear Undefeatable! Sustain Your Beloved One, Papa-Father, as Your Living Water Flows from the Well-Spring of Heaven. Nourish our Terri, Giving her "Meat to Eat that we Know Not of." We Love You, our King, and Thank You that Your Angels have Charge Over Your Little One, and that her Life and Times are in Your Sovereign Hands.

Allelujah to the Lord our Redeemer, Who Showers His children with the Resources of Heaven. We Worship You, our God, as we Pray in the King's Royal Name, amen.

Amen and Amen. May You alone be praised, Oh Lord. I stand in agreement with the prayers prayed here for Terri. I thank You for this bit of hope for tomorrow. Lord we look to YOU and you alone to rescue Terri, for only You can preserve her life and turn the hearts of these senators towards what is right and good. Stir the heart of at least one senator who did not vote for the bill last week to ask that it be voted on again tomorrow. May they not sleep tonight until they have resolved in their hearts to do so, and to vote for this bill. Thank You for Jesse Jackson, Lord, and his willingness to stand for what is right. Use His efforts to fulfill Your purposes, Oh Lord.

Surround Terri and her family tonight with Your presence and love. Give them strength that is not their own. Keep MS and anyone else from bringing Terri harm. Lord soften the hearts of those taking care of Terri that they will work to preserve her life, not to shorten it.

No matter what happens, Lord, we give you all the glory. In JESUS' PRECIOUS NAME I ASK ALL THIS. Amen.

O Thou Who Art the Shepherd

O Thou who art the Shepherd Of all the scattered sheep,
Who lovest all thy lost ones On every mountain steep,
Create in us a yearning For those whom thou doest seek,
The hopeless and the burdened, The crippled and the weak.

We would be thy disciples And all the hungry feed,
Nor seek our own salvation Apart from others' need,
These, Father, are thy children Thou sendest us to find,
Help us by deeds of mercy To show that thou art kind.

Awake in us compassion, O Lord of life divine,
Create in us thy spirit, Give us a love like thine.
Help us to seek thy kingdom That cometh from above,
And in thy great salvation, Show forth thy boundless love.
Amen

Does anyone know if the nurses are allowed to put drops in her eyes or a sponge in her mouth? God I hope so!

Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that You have pierced the hearts of the Judges to look anew at the evil inflicted upon this mother's child. Preserve her life in this hour, O God ... sustain her with food and drink that man cannot see and would not provide. Cause them to make haste, Merciful Father, for her agony intensifies. Let not further harm come to her at the direction of the Merchants of Death ... keep them from her bedside ... may Your Ministering Angels encamp about her bed, preventing further harm. We continue to whisper her sweet name before the Throne of Grace ... may each whisper be the refreshment she needs and the sustenance to endure, that she may be brought, by Your Grace and Mercy, back from the brink of death. Encourage her beloved family, for they long have sought to care for her ... vindicate their love, O God, and restore unto them the joy of their life.

Make haste, O God, for the medical provisions needed ... let all who tend her do so with love and compassion. Give the medical team the greatest wisdom in rehydrating her ... let her not be overcome with toxins ... stabilize her vital signs ... protect all of her organs, that she might rise up a testimony to Your Hand upon her. May the world acknowledge that in Your hand, and in Your hand, alone, is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind. In the Name of Jesus, may it be thus, O Lord, may it be thus ... Amen

Dear Faith, Bless you for your beautiful words dripping with the love of Jesus.

I do give Christ all the praise and glory for He has no limitations. The scripture that comes to me often is that the "gates of hell shall not prevail" against the onslaught of the prayers of His church. I believe that our prayers are not only to plead for Terri and to lift Him up but that they also sustain Terri. Surely she must feel the prayers coming her way and I pray they will keep her strong.

Precious Lord, You are our pearl in the field that we hold close to our hearts, You are the joy of our being and we worship you. You raise the sun in the mornings and the moon at night, the whole world is in your hands. Thank you for every good gift and blessing. Thank you for our salvation and your never-ending faithfullness. Oh how we praise you above the heavens. We bless your holy Name.

Amen! and . . .

God, we pray that Your precious sustaining nectar is placed on Terri's tongue to sustain her body at this most difficult time, and that measures of comfort beyond what we can understand are afforded her, to protect her eyes and all of her in every way she needs it! ... that her body inside and out is at rest and peace to conserve and preserve her life, in ways that will amaze man's thinking and confound man's evil . . . that angels seen and unseen are at work everywhere on Terri's behalf, inside with her and outside doing battle for her! as we are so weak! . . . and that Terri's family KNOWS this, and knows they are lifted up in prayer, and are strengthened and comforted...

We pray, Lord, that there are eyeball to eyeball, heart to heart talks taking place in Tallahassee right now that will lead to immediate and permanent relief for Terri and her family. ...that there are found sympathetic hospice workers and police who can bring comfort to Terri and her family ...that sympathetic, ultra-capable medical people are standing by to insert a central line, or however best for her to receive man's sustenance after all this time. ... that those who plan evil have reason to be very, very afraid if they do not immediately repent and relent and immediately RELEASE their evil hold on dear Terri.

We pray in Jesus' Name, O Lord, Our Saviour -- to Whom can we go? for YOU have the words of life! and hope! Amen ...

I'm not clear on that. I hear two different stories, one which claims 'comfort measures' are being used, and one which says they cannot swab or moisten her mouth. I pray with you that Terri is sustained by sympathetic hands.

Amen .Sustain us all today, Father, as we continue to lift up Terri's family and friends. Let us see today what we need to see, and do what we need to do for Terri, as we are also faithful to the families and work You give us to do. Thank you for good friends here and surrounding us, who are so comforting at this difficult time. May none be left disconsolate. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

// Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that we can yet stand Vigil around the bedside of this mother's child. Sustain her through the night, O God, as we continue to whisper her sweet name before the Throne of Grace. Refresh her with food and drink from the Hand of God ... protect her now as surely as she was protected in her mother's womb. Bring her forth again in newness of life, Merciful Father, just as surely as You brought her forth to her mother and father on her first day. Let not the Merchants of Death have their sacrificial lamb ... deny them their prize. May each effort and each prayer and each tear that has been spent for this wounded woman, now unite to bring her back from the brink of death. May hardened hearts be softened, may the people see the great and mighty things You have done ... may we fall before You in abject repentance ... lay not our sins against this innocent lamb. Even in this late hour, O God, we continue to plead that the love of mother and father and sister and brother would be vindicated ... restore their beloved, in the Name of Jesus, the Christ, we pray, Amen ... // -- yes, Lord, Amen.

Students pray for Terri at the March 12 prayer vigil at Woodside Hospice

Thanks to all who have posted -- what a comfort it is to read through here. When I went to hospice last Fri/Sat, I was told again that yes, prayers were the main thing, that Terri's family and friends desire & appreciate them so much, and are indeed sustained by them.

Thanks for carrying our hearts to Terri's parents and supporters. Thank you for your prayers. They inspire me greatly. It's my honor to join those pictured young men in humbly bowing before the Creator of the Universe and implore Him for a miracle for Terri. Blessings to you.

Since we believe that Scripture is the inspired Word of God, and that He speaks directly to us, I believe that He has told us that He will save Terri. Here are just a few of the promises He has made:

He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the LORD was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God? Psalm 18:16-19; 30-31

I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. MANY WILL SEE AND FEAR AND PUT THEIR TRUST IN THE LORD. Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods. Psalm 40:1-4

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall. But you, O God, will bring down the wicked into the pit of corruption; bloodthirsty and deceitful men will not live out half their days. But as for me, I trust in you. Psalm 55:22-23

The salvation of the righteous comes from the LORD; he is their stronghold in time of trouble. The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him. Psalm 37:39-40

But you, O God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you; you are the helper of the fatherless. Break the arm of the wicked and evil man; call him to account for his wickedness that would not be found out. Psalm 10:14-15

And finally:

"Because of the oppression of the weak and the groaning of the needy, I will now arise," says the LORD. "I will protect them from those who malign them." AND THE WORDS OF THE LORD ARE FLAWLESS, LIKE SILVER REFINED IN A FURNACE OF CLAY, PURIFIED SEVEN TIMES. O LORD, you will keep us safe and protect us from such people forever. Psalm 12:5-7

Ever since the fall of 2003, I have felt very strongly that the words of the Psalms described Terri's situation very clearly. I also am convinced that the Lord has given us His answer in the Psalms. I believe that He will rescue Terri, and not only that, that the crimes against her **will** be found out and punished! We just need to keep believing and praying and trusting in the Lord. He has sustained her thus far, and will continue to until she is rescued!

City Man arrested outside Fla. hospice (College Prof Tasered after trying to bring Terri water)

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1373741/posts -- Scranton Times-Tribune ^ | 3/30/2005 | Josh Brodesky

Dr. Dow Pursley, Ed.D, returned home from teaching an ethics class Monday night at Baptist Bible College and Seminary and told his wife Joanne he was flying to Florida to protest against Terri Schiavo's impending death.

The family counseling professor booked the first flight out of town -- a 4 a.m. red-eye Tuesday -- and the couple of 37 years then spent the balance of the night praying.

Later Tuesday morning Dr. Pursley, 56, was shocked with a Taser stun gun and arrested by Pinellas Park (Fla.) police on charges of attempted burglary and resisting arrest without violence after he tried to bring two bottles of water to Mrs. Schiavo's hospice room. [note: earlier arrests were for trespassing, and -- as I understand it -- carried a $350 fine]

Dr. Pursley, of the city's Hill Section, never reached Woodside Hospice's doors, police said.

"He said he needed to be there, and I said 'I understand,' " Mrs. Pursley said of the couple's conversation late Monday night.

They never talked of any specific actions, and she figured he was going to protest with prayer, she said. "It was very late," she said. "We just prayed." . . .

"He is driven by his conviction about the sanctity of life," she said. Of his decision to bring Mrs. Schiavo water, she added, "He was compelled to do what he did. That was between him and God."

Dr. Pursley is the 47th protester to be arrested, and the first to be shocked with a Taser stun gun since Ms. Schiavo's feeding tube was removed 13 days ago. Efforts to reach Pinellas Park Police spokesman Sanfield Forseth about the use of force were unsuccessful.

Mrs. Pursley said she spoke with her husband Monday afternoon from Pinellas County Jail, where he was remanded in lieu of $20,500 bail. Police said a hearing on his case is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today.

A supporter in Florida has since posted Dr. Pursley's bond, and he will be released later today, Mrs. Pursley said. ....(more)

Surely she must feel the prayers coming her way and I pray they will keep her strong.

Amen, PTL!!! I am confident of this very thing: that No prayer, spoken in ernest is lost----that all lifted in the Name of Jesus Christ and according to His Will ----are used for the glory of God and for the good of His children. I believe Terri feels the prayers and the Lord uses them to speak to her of His love. Thank you for sharing your prayer.
