Funny you should say that.. The lifeguard at the pool would take his lunchbreak, go to the flip-flop and towel shack, and put on We'll Sing in the Sunshine record. It would repeat 5 times (LOL!) while he was out smokin' (?) behind the showers. Naturally, since he was on 'break', EVERYONE had to get out of the pool, AND WAIT. So, we would count how many times the song had repeated, then, after #4, form a line around the the side of the pool waiting for ol' Schmoe, to get back to work!! LOL.. Yep, we were safe! We had our American Red Cross Swimmer patches sewn to our suits, so we felt fine with such supervision... hehehehe !
