The Tubes
Talk To Ya Later
Tubes/Foster/Steve Lukather (That's right, the same Steve Lukather from TOTO. He plays a nasty guitar solo as the Tube's session musician)
I met her on a strip
It was another lost weekend
The band was too slick
And the people were twisted
So I asked her for a date
She reluctantly agreed
Then we went to my place
And she never did leave
She wont even miss me when shes gone
And thats okay with me Ill cry later on
Its been six months
She hasnt shut up once
Ive tried to explain
Shes driving me insane
She wont even miss me when shes gone
And thats okay with me Ill cry later on
Chorus:
Talk to ya laterdont want to hear it again tonight
Talk to ya laterjust save it for another guy
Talk to ya laterdont want to hear it again tonight
Ill just see you around
Get out
Im telling you now
Do you catch my drift
What could be plainer than this
Nothin more to be said
Write me a letter instead
I dont mean to be cruel
But Im finished with you
She wont even miss me when shes gone
Thats okay with me Ill cry later on
Chorus
Talk to ya laterdont want to hear it again tonight
Talk to ya laterjust save it for another guy
Talk to ya laterdont want to hear it again tonight
Ill just see you around
"She's A Beauty" was good, though. :)
I am a huge music fan, 50's and on, but there is not much out there today. I believe some love songs are truly horrible, however, at the time some were released they sounded ok, but after being played over and over and over, you really grew tired of them. I used to enjoy Billy Joel,James Taylor, but today, their songs are "tired". we all have different tastes in music, I have to admit that I kind of enjoy, "Afternoon Delight".
Your post is exactly why I love this site. You can find out about political moves, international affairs, current events, nationally, or in local areas and, lightening up, words to songs that you would have to search for hours to find. Kuel
